Description: The HoloBurner system is a mixed reality instrument for chemistry experiments to learn about the color reaction of flames. The system consists of a real Bunsen burner and an aerial image display that shows a holographic image of a flame at the tip of the burner.

Kai Nishimoto, Ritsumeikan University, College of Image Arts and Sciences, Japan

Toshikazu Ohshima is a professor at Ritsumeikan University since 2006. He received a Doctorate from University of Tsukuba, Graduate School of Engineering. Then he joined in Canon Inc. and served as a researcher for research and development of virtual reality since 1991. He worked as a senior researcher in a national project at Mixed Reality Laboratory Inc. since 1997. He served as a section chief at MR R&D section in Canon Inc. since 2001. His research interests are mixed reality technologies and its deployment in education, medical and art field.

Kai Nishimoto was a student at College of Image Arts and Sciences, Ritsumeikan University, where he received his B.A. in 2019. He works at Bandai Namco Entertainment, Inc. since 2019.
