Description: In this work, we demonstrate a laser-based display integrating stereoscopic vector graphics into a dynamic scene generated by a conventional 3d video projection system. These laser graphics are projected with a galvo-laser system which exhibits far greater brightness, contrast and acuity compared to pixelated projectors.

Jayson Haebich is an artist and researcher who is interested in the intersection of art, technology, and science. Using light he explores how space, light, and form interact to create immersive light installations. Currently working at the XR-Lab at City University of Hong Kong on interactive augmented reality projects that use light in new and exciting ways. previously he has presented work worldwide including at the Salisbury Cathedral, Bauhaus Dessau, Somerset House, British Film Institute, and in smaller galleries and institutions across Europe, Australia, and China.

Dr. Christian Sandor is an Associate Professor at the City University of Hong Kong’s School of Creative Media, where he is co-directing the Extended Reality Lab ( together with Associate Professor Alvaro Cassinelli. Since the year 2000, his foremost research interest is Augmented Reality, as he believes that it will have a profound impact on the future of mankind.

Alvaro Cassinelli was born in Montevideo (Uruguay) in 1972. In 1990 he earns both a French and Uruguayan B.Sc., and a grant to pursue his studies in France. He obtains a Graduate Engineering diploma from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécom (now Télécom ParisTech) in 1996, completing the same year a Doctoral Qualifying Degree (DEA/Master) in Physics (Laser & Matter Interaction) from the University of Paris-XI, Telecom and Ecole Polytechnique. In 2000 he receives a Ph.D degree from the University of Paris-XI Orsay.
