Description: We exploit human perception characteristics and dynamic projection mapping techniques and realize simultaneous overwriting of both textures and deformation of a real object. With the developed 1000fps low-latency projector-camera system, we demonstrate that a plaster figure turns into a colorful and flabby object by the projection.

Leo Miyashita researches how to create realistic digital visualizations that are mapped onto real-world objects. He is Research Manager of the System Vision Design Research Group at The University of Tokyo (Japan), where he also obtained his award-winning Ph.D.

Kentaro Fukamizu researches high-speed computer graphics with optical illusions. He studied at The University of Tokyo (Japan) and now works at sony.

Masatoshi Ishikawa researches massively parallel high-speed vision, high-speed Intelligent robots, dynamic Interaction, optics in computing. He is a project professor at The University of Tokyo.
