Description: Based on technology of virtual reality (VR) and gesture recognition, we create the VR performance, "Flower and the Youth". Our work provides universal design approaches to the creation of content for future intangible cultural heritage performances.

Yu Lu is an undergraduate student studying in the School of New Media Arts & Design, Beihang University, Beijing, China. Her undergraduate major is digital media and her research direction is about interactive desigh and virtual reality.

Liu Zixiao is an undergraduate student from Beihang University, School of Media Art and Design, majoring in digital media art and minoring the economics. Her research direction is about virtual reality.

Xuning Yan is studying for a master's degree in the School of New Media Arts & Design, Beihang University, Beijing, China, Beihang University. Her work aims to explore the interactive design and audience experience of virtual reality performances.

Shuo Yan received her PhD in Beijing Institute of Technology. She used to work as a research assistant in MIT Media Lab. Currently, she is an Associate Professor in the School of New Media Arts & Design, Beihang University, Beijing, China. Her grants, awards, and publications include over 15 scientific papers, two national funds, two patents, a national excellent doctoral dissertation award supported by China Simulation Federation, a national award for distinguished doctorates in China. Her work seeks to push the boundaries of design and technology to create innovative solutions with the power to augment human capabilities.
