In Tokyo, December temperatures tend to be around 12ºC (54°F) in the afternoon and drop to about 5ºC (41°F) in the morning and at night.
Tokyo winters are sunny with little rain or snow. The air is dry, with the humidity around this time generally staying at a constant 30%. You will need a coat in December. On some days, gloves and scarves will keep you nice and warm.
For Japan there are two associated plug types, A and B. Plug type A is the plug which has two flat parallel pins and plug type B is the plug which has two flat parallel pins and a grounding pin.

All conference programs and the exhibition of SIGGRAPH Asia will be held at Tokyo International Forum, Japan (3-5-1 Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, 100-0005).
The exhibition is located at Basement B2F, Hall E.
Registration is located at Basement B1F, Glass Building Lobby Gallery.

The venue - Tokyo International Forum (TIF) is located approximately 53 minutes from New Tokyo International Airport, Narita, Japan via the JR Narita Express to Tokyo Station (5 minutes’ walk from Tokyo Station). If you are coming from Haneda Airport, it is 23 minutes to Hamamatsucho Station by Monorail and 4 minutes from JR Hamamatsucho Station to Yurakucho Station (1-minute walk from Yurakucho Station).
It is also accessible by Car and Limousine Bus by Shuto Expressway via 4 exits: Kasumigaseki Exit, Kandabashi Exit, Takaracho Exit and Kyobashi Exit.
The convenient alternative to reach TIF is via the Subway. There are 6 Lines that connect directly to the venue: Yurakucho Line, Hibiya Line, Chiyoda Line, Marunouchi Line, Ginza Line and Mita Line. Click here for the Tokyo Metro Subway Map.

Wi-Fi is only provided to Conference delegates during SIGGRAPH Asia 2021. However, wireless service will be available throughout Tokyo International Forum (TIF). Users may have to register using their email or SNS account to access free Wi-Fi. Click here for more information.

No, you will not be able to access the virtual platform with these pass types. You may upgrade to a Full Access ticket if you intend to experience both the in-person sessions at Tokyo International Forum, and on the virtual platform.

Yes, you can buy tickets on arrival at the venue during SIGGRAPH Asia from 14 – 17 December 2021. On-site registration rates will apply. Credit card (AMEX, VISA, MasterCard and JCB) and Cash (only in Japanese Yen (JPY)) will be accepted for on-site payments. For cash payments on-site, registrants are encouraged to prepare an exact amount for their intended purchase.
We encourage all attendees to purchase their tickets through our online registration portal, to reduce the potential crowding at the venue.
Please note that a credit card is required for online payment. For USD purchases, only AMEX, Visa and Mastercard are accepted. For JPY purchases, only AMEX, Visa, Mastercard and JCB are accepted. Credit card payment is recommended for all individuals and groups.
Only for registrants residing in Japan, if payment by credit card is not preferred, the bank transfer option is accepted for groups of 10 or more, who register before 30 November 2021, 23:59 GMT+9. The Onsite Experience ticket will be recommended as it includes both on-site trade exhibition & experience hall access to the following SIGGRAPH Asia programs form the 15 – 17 December 2021:

The Onsite Experience registration ticket does not include access to the virtual platform.
You may purchase the Full Access ticket as an ACM student member to enjoy the discounted student rates or purchase a Onsite Student Access.
Full Access ticket (ACM Student Member): You must provide your membership number to receive the discount. This ticket allows access to both the in-person sessions at Tokyo International Forum, and on the virtual platform. ACM SIGGRAPH member discount does not apply to those who are members of a chapter only.

Due to covid-19 and travel uncertainty, full cancellation is possible for attendees residing out of Japan. Kindly submit a written request to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. in English before 30 November 2021, 23:59 GMT+9. A processing fee of USD 50/JPY 5,000 will be charged upon approval of the cancellation request.
In the event that attendees residing outside of Japan are facing travel restrictions into Tokyo for the physical event, these attendees will be able to convert their in-person tickets (Full Access, Onsite Experience) to a virtual registration ticket type (Virtual Full Access, Virtual Basic Access, or Virtual Electronic Theater). Upon approval, our team will advise on the refund or additional payment based on the earlier onsite ticket category, and the new virtual ticket category. Upon completing your payment, you will receive the confirmation letter and official registration receipt. For delegates attending the in-person event, kindly bring along this confirmation letter to the onsite venue for your badge printing/collection. For delegates attending the virtual event, you will receive information on how to access the virtual platform closer to the event dates.

The minimum requirement on dress code is casual and covered shoes are required for men. Shorts, singlet, bermudas and slippers are not allowed for entry into the Exhibition Hall and Conference sessions. As a form of respect to Japan’s local culture, we kindly seek your understanding to refrain from exposing your tattoos.
To attend the conference onsite at Tokyo International Forum, children aged 12 and under, must be accompanied by a registered adult at all times. They will not be required to purchase a registration ticket.
Children aged 13 to 17 will be required to register and purchase a registration ticket to attend the conference. They may consider purchasing a ‘Onsite Student Access’ available during the conference and exhibition days, upon presentation of a valid student identification pass. Please be aware that parts of the Conference may contain adult content, graphic images, or violence.
