Description: Weighted Walking is a wearable device with ducted fans on the user's calf. The fans can generate powerful thrust to simulate the forces caused by the user's lower limbs moving in different fluid materials. It can also simulate the walking experience in different gravity conditions, such as in another planet.

Ke Pingchuan (Patrick) is a PhD student under the supervision of Dr. Kening Zhu at School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong. His current projects focus on Virtual and Augmented Reality(VR/AR), User Interface(UI) and other areas of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). At the same time, he is also interested in research areas of new media art, interaction design, game and animation design.

Shaoyu Cai is a PhD student under the supervision of Dr. Kening Zhu at the School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong. His research interest lies in the field of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), especially for Cross-modal Learning (e.g., from vision to touch) and Multi-modal Interaction through Deep Learning methods.

Lantian Xu (Alston) is currently a first year Ph.D. student under the supervision of Dr. Alvaro Cassinelli and Dr. Kening Zhu at School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong where he also obtained his BSc degree in 2020. His current research focuses on remote collaboration and sense of presence in mixed reality.

Kening Zhu is an Associate Professor at the School of Creative Media, and jointly appointed by the Department of Computer Science, City University of Hong Kong. He leads the Multimodal and Embodied Interaction Lab (MEI Lab). He received his PhD degree from the National University of Singapore, and his bachelor degree on Computer Science from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China.
